If there’s one thing of which I’m utterly convinced, it’s that God tells marvelous stories. God shouts stories of creative verve and originality in nature and human hearts. God shares tales of loving-kindness and baffling faithfulness in science, art, and human lives. God writes divine perspectives and ideas and humor and pain and hope into the very breath that animates all creation. 

God reveals Godself to us, not only in the grand narrative, but in the smaller, unique stories written with us and especially for us. 

Friend, God is writing a story with and for you. But perhaps you’ve lost a thread of your story along the way? Maybe you’ve arrived at an impasse in life and you are having difficulty discerning the voice and direction of the Lord? Or maybe you’re simply longing for more intimacy with God and depth in your interior world?

I offer spiritual direction to a limited number of directees who desire spiritual companionship for their critical journey. The practice of spiritual direction involves deep listening – both to you and with you. Together, we will move our attention to the Lord and seek his presence. We will explore the desires of your heart and then watch for how those desires may conform to God’s desires. Our time together will include prayer, silence, work with the enneagram, scriptural meditation, spiritual practices like visio divina and lectio divina, and the creation of space for your heart to be heard and held.

Perhaps you don’t consider yourself a Christian anymore or at all. Spiritual companionship is highly valuable for you too! You are a soul and your soul requires nurturing and care. I’m trained to work with deconstructing, spiritual-but-not-religious, and in interfaith contexts. I cherish my clients who come with complex, unclear, and authentic stories which don’t fit with the common faith narrative. No matter what your faith background or current status, you are important and welcomed with me.
